Southeast Tucson continues to experience rapid residential development. The area includes Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. The area is considered to be south of Golf Links Road. The master planned communities of Rita Ranch and Santa Rita Ranch are located in the heart of southeast Tucson.
The suburban community of Vail is also located on the southeast side. The town is about 21 miles southeast of Tucson. A small town sense of community, highly affordable housing, and great schools make Vail the perfect place to bring up a young family, while proximity to Tucson and big city jobs and culture make Vail an ideal commute.

Vail is home to Ranch del Lago, nestled peacefully at the foot of the Rincon Mountains.
